The two-stage Falcon 9 lifted off on February 22, 2018 at 15:17 CET from California’s Vandenberg Air Force Base and delivered its main payload, the Spanish PAZ radar-imaging satellite, successfully into its target orbit.

The first launch was scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 18, but was postponed by SpaceX. Another launch attempt on February 21, was foiled by too strong high winds.

PAZ is an X-Band SAR satellite and its intention is to observe Earth in radar wavelengths from a 514 km, sun-synchronous orbit.  

STT has developed and delivered the S-Band TMTC-unit. Communication with the groundstations works flawless.
