PROBA-2 launched successfully

PROBA-2 was launched atop a Rockot launch vehicle from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia at 01:50 UTC (02:50 CET) on Monday 2 November. Proba-2 signal received by Redu ground station, confirming it has separated from the launcher and is in orbit. Early in-orbit operations have begun to check the satellites before commissioning them for operations. Proba-2 is planned to reach operational status in two months' time. STT has provided the S-Band communications package consisting of the TT&C unit, the antennas and the RF combining/distribution network.
